About me

I am a professional press photographer with the UK's largest press agency covering the north of England with over 25 years of experience. I have been lucky enough to pick-up several awards along the way in many different areas of photography.

While working at the Press Association I have been fortunate enough to travel the world photographing everything from the Olympic Games and World Cup finals to royalty and the conflicts in Afghanistan. I have a passion for landscapes and photograph them in a way that interests landscape lovers, but also provides an image that is likely to be used by national newspapers and the wider media industry.

When photographing the Northern Lights it is paramount to find good locations. Over the past few years I have spent an incredible amount of time chasing the researching locations, planning and chasing the Northern Lights throughout the UK and Iceland.

The Northern Lights is an amazing sight and you never quite know how good the display will be. This gives you that 'not knowing' excitement, it is amazing to watch let alone take pictures.
